Hiya Everyone, Kat here!

Due to a family emergency, our guest was unable to join us at the last minute. So tonight’s show was a paranormal potpourri night! We talked about a variety of topics, from meteors to naked men; the Snallygaster to the Mystery Machine getting into an accident. Links to the news articles and fun videos are posted below!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane..

First off, there was a meteor  spotted hurtling over New England this past Tuesday. Sadly, I didn’t see it (it happened at 1AM EST) but dozens of others did! Below is dash-cam footage from a police officer in Maine.

“You’re not supposed to eat the trigger object.”

Henry gave a short review of Destination America’s new show Ghost Brothers. He gave the show a shining 4/5 stars, saying that it is very real and an enjoyment to watch. da-bio-image

Barbara provided this story, a man selling a haunted chest with a ghost for $300.

Snallygaster, naked men, and a Werewolf

We talked about the Snallygaster, Kat’s favorite American cryptid. We also talked about creepy haunted dolls.

Marine’s Encounter with the Black Eyed Kid

Geoff read a news story about a US Marine’s encounter with the legendary Black Eyed Children.

UFOs over Turkey

Sherri, a member of our chat room group, submitted a story for us! Pilots flyinig through Turkey en route to Istanbul Airport spotted two UFOs on their approach to the airport.

Ruh-Roh Scooby Doo!

Barbara provided this news article about theives who stole the Mystery Machine, then crashed it into a house.

Ghost Buster trailers square off…

Finally, we compare the fan cut teaser of the new Ghost Busters movie with the original trailer of the 1984 Ghost Busters movie.

The original cut of the new Ghost Busters movie is one of the most hated videos on YouTube. So, I give you the fan-cut version of the trailer. Let us know in the comments which you think is the better trailer!

And that is the end of our show! Remember, the Paranormal View is available for free on iTunes, just look for us in the Podcast section. Please subscribe and write a review so other awesome people like yourselves can find us!

Gettysburg III photos!

Posted in From the Hosts, Ghosts & Hauntings, Psychic Phenomena, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 14, 2016 by The Paranormal View

Hiya Everyone, Kat here!

Over the course of our Gettysburg III event, I took over 800 photos! Here are some of the best from our weekend visiting the battlefield and broadcasting from the David Stewart Farm.

Henry, Steve Shockley, Tammy Shockley, Tiffaney and Joe Mason, Craig, Tabby Cat and I met up and then drove out to Sachs Bridge.

The bridge saw hundreds of Confederate troops cross it after the Battle of Gettysburg. TabbyCat and Steve, and to a mild extent myself, smelled pipe smoke along the creek on the west bank. The bridge is said to be haunted, and one of the phenomena that occurs there is the smell of General Lee’s pipe smoke.

Next, we went up to Little Round Top…

…and then met up with Tina at Devil’s Den!

After exploring the area, we picked up some Tommy’s Pizzas and had a lively evening of sharing ghost stories at the David Stewart Farm. Henry and I had rented spare rooms at the farm, so we stayed there all weekend long!

And that was all on Friday!

On Saturday morning Henry, Tina, Steve, Tammy, and I met up at the Lincoln Diner. I love their pancakes! We also made plans for what sites we were going to visit during the day, before the radio show.

A little surprise was a Confederate Reenactment site next to the Rupp House in downtown Gettysburg.

We first met up with Nancy du Tertre (the skeptical psychic and previous guest on our show),  Craig (a former host of the show) and a friend of his at the Jennie Wade House. We didn’t have time to tour the house, but we did get to see the door with the bullet hole Jennie was standing next to when she was shot. After that, we went to the Gettysburg National Cemetery.

The group then walked around downtown Gettysburg, visiting the new Ghost Shop, and running into the legend himself, John Zaffis! Henry visited a haunted outhouse, and we got ice cream at Mr. G’s!

Full group photo!

Oh yeah, and we finally found Henry a proper restroom?

We also visited Spangler’s Spring and found the landmark for Steve’s great, great (possibly a third great here) grandfather’s unit who fought at Gettysburg.

After that, it was time for us to get a quick bite to eat and head back to the David Stewart Farm to set up for the show.

Also, here is what the inside of the barn, which used to be a Confederate field hopital, looked like:

See along that far wall? We could see the silhouettes of late soldiers smoking along it. We could see the glowing embers of their cigarettes as they would put them up to their mouths for a puff. Both Tammy and TabbyCat had the sensation of being touched. Henry also saw his first full-on shadow person and could also see the glowing embers of the cigarettes, so he can’t say he hasn’t seen a ghost any more!

Before leaving on Sunday, I met up with Craig, Tiffaney, and Joe at Devil’s Den. This time there weren’t so many tourists around, and Tiffaney did hit on some things at Devil’s Den. Also, I got  a rather weird photo…

The last stop I made was at the Triangular Field. Last year I saw a full apparition of a Confederate Soldier walking through the field. This year I didn’t see him.

And that was that! To next year’s Gettysburg IV! See you next April!

Henry and I want to give special thanks to the panel of SKEPTIC TANK 6:

Jeff Wagg and Alison Smith of JREF (James Randi Educational Foundation) at

Listener response was FANTASTIC for this episode and CBS sends their thanks to all of you who took the time to send Instant Feedback to Psychic Radio.  The chat room at the Para-X Radio Network was jammed full Saturday night and the debate going on in there was running by so quickly that it was hard to keep up.  This is what we LOVE to hear!!

One of the best compliments we could receive came from Jeff Wagg’s mention of the show in his “Where Are the Believers?” article at  I think he really hit the nail on the head when he said during the show, “Until believers can truly define what it is they’re looking for, how will they know when they’ve found it?”

I hope his quote pushes all seekers of evidence of the paranormal to step back and think deeply about their goals and what it is they’re seeking.  Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of the journey that you lose sight of your destination.

Letting the Mystery Save the History

Posted in From the Hosts, Ghosts & Hauntings with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 1, 2009 by The Paranormal View

Welcome To Fort Mifflin

The paranormal community came together over the past weekend to help raise money for educational programs at Ft. Mifflin in Philadelphia. Some of the celebrities that joined in the effort included Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Kris Williams, Dave Tango, Steve Gonsalves, Gavin Cromwell, John Zaffis, Tom & Dave Jones of Para-X Radio, and your very own hosts of The Paranormal View – Henry and Beth.

Ft. Mifflin is one of many historic sites scraping for funding in these tight times. I’m happy that they, and several other landmarks like them, have embraced their haunted reputation and graciously accepted the support that has been offered them. I just wish that more places would open up to the opportunities that come along with allowing the mystery of a site to draw visitors every bit as much, if not more, than the history of the location alone.

Ft. Mifflin is a success story of the partnership between paranormal enthusiasts and historic rescue efforts. If your site or one you know is hurting for dollars, have you considered how much the ghosts and legends of the landmark could help you? Think about it and get back to me – I’ll get you in touch with the right people!
